Colombian sound system culture
Digging into more sources on Afro-Colombian music yielded the fascinating history of picós, or mobile outdoor sound systems.
Not only battling for tune exclusivity and overall sonic power, traits similar to their Jamaican and Brazilian counterparts, classic Colombian picos added a whole visual design component to their presention, as if every crew had their own graf writer.
